SPRING BREAK MISSION TRIP

Each year, staff and students spend Spring Break serving others in a mission trip.  Last Spring Break was spent in Chattahoochee and Edwardsville, Florida assisting parishes in groundskeeping and painting. Our Spring Break 2012 destination is in southwest Missouri - stay tuned for further details!

AWAKENING

This is a retreat for students by students. CCM at Southeast Missouri State University sponsored its first Awakening Retreat in 2001. The retreat continues to happen with enthusiasm each fall. This exciting weekend includes personal faith and life experiences presented by college students, reflection time, small and large group interaction, and surprises!  The next Awakening Retreat is scheduled for November 13-15, 2011.  Stay tuned for registration information in the fall!

BUSY PERSONS' RETREAT

Stay in your busy world, while experiencing four days of prayer and reflection. This retreat only requires an hour of your time each day (30 minutes with a spiritual director and 30 minutes of prayer). Spiritual directors are happy to work with your schedule. Optional group experiences are offered each evening, and meals and snacks are available throughout the week. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to participate.  Our next Busy Person's Retreat is sceduled for February 5-9, 2012.

CAPTURE MY HEART WOMEN'S RETREAT

Originally presented at Franciscan University of Steubenville, this retreat has made its way to CCM-SEMO helping young women understand the beauty of the 'feminine genius' as coined by Pope John Paul II. This retreat is for all young women who want to discover the beauty of God's plan for them and the gift of being a daughter of God.

FAN THE FLAME MEN'S RETREAT

This retreat is basically the brother of the women's retreat.  Making its debut in the spring, this retreat will help young men discover what it means to be a real man and son of God.

QUO VADIS

This is CCM's ongoing effort to proclaim that serving the Church is a worthy effort - that the Lord continues to call men and women of all ages to serve him with generous hearts. Quo Vadis is aimed at helping college students listen attentively to the voice of God echoing deep within their heart. We are intent on helping our students discover anew the joy inherent in serving God as a priest or religious.  Quo Vadis usually consists of young men taking a trip to visit a seminary to see what discerning the priesthood looks like and young women journey to a convent to witness how discerning a call to the religious life is full of joy!

THEOLOGY OF THE BODY STUDIES

Pope John Paul II's presentation of the Church's teaching on the meaning of being human are vibrantly proclaimed and lived out here at CCM!  We offer studies on Theology of the Body for beginners and for those who are ready to go deeper into this great teaching!  In the fall of 2011 the Introduction to Theology of the Body study will be Tuesdays at 6:30pm in the Marquette Student Center (Into the Heart will pick up at the conclusion of the Intro program in the late fall).  TOB3 for students who have completed Into the Heart will be on Tuesdays at 8pm in the Marquette Student Center.

CATHOLICISM 101

This CCM program is a study on the Catechism of the Catholic Church.  If you've ever wondered what the Catholic Church really teaches this program is for you!  Catholicism 101 is held every Monday at 7pm in the Newman Center.

THURSDAY NIGHT TRUTH (TNT)

APPRECIATION LUNCHEON

Toward the end of each semester, CCM staff and student leaders invite faculty, staff, benefactors, and friends to a catered lunch on campus. Good food and conversation are always included!

MEN'S AND WOMEN'S GROUPS

These groups offer young adults an opportunity to grow as men and women of virtue and faith in a world desperately searching for the truth.  The men's group meets at Mondays at 8:30pm and the Women's Group meet on Wednesdays at 8:30pm.  Young men may email Fr. Patrick to get involved in the men's group and young women may email Kristen to get involved in the women's group.
