Help us serve God's children at Kay Mari Orphanage March 16-23!
We are excited to share that CCM will be taking 12 students/alumni to a small mountain village about an hour outside of Port-au-Prince, Haiti for this year's spring break mission trip! We want to share with you the story of Kay Mari Orphanage and the children who live there, as well as invite you to participate in this mission with us through your prayers and support!
God has built Kay Mari Orphanage from the groud up. The story from their website is truly moving.
"...a little boy of about four years of age came near and stood looking up at Sean. He didn't put his arms up for Sean to hold him because his experience had taught him that people simply did not. The boy's arms were covered in powder, indicating a medication applied to the skin to help with scabies. For a moment, Sean stood there, hesitating in fear, but his heart was bursting. Sean had to pick him up, for this little boy was Jesus standing in front of him. How could he tell Jesus that he couldn't hold him out of fear of contracting this sickness? The boy lit up when Sean held him, and he clutched Sean's neck so tightly that it was clear he was going to stay for a while."
Read the rest of the story at the Haiti180 website. You will be so encouraged upon reading it! This was the start of a call to build an orphanage for the children of Haiti who were longing to be loved. Now upon celebrating 10 years of existence, Haiti180 continues to serve the people of this small village through the orphanage, building a school, a Catholic church, and they are even in the process of building a basic medical center and home for the elderly, who are so often neglected and forgotten. This apostolate is truly bringing the love of Jesus Christ to these people who so desire Him!
One way in which Haiti180 does this is to invite missionaries to come for short term mission trips to serve and love the children and elderly residents. God is calling us to be those missionaries! We would like to invite you to partner with us in this mission. We are all called to be missionaries of God's love and joy. Even though not everyone may be asked to physically go on a mission trip, we can all live out this calling through partnering spiritually through prayer and/or through providing for the material needs of the mission. We ask you to please ask God if He is calling you to join us in serving these beautiful children and elderly residents!
We believe that when God calls, He provides us what we need to answer His call. With your partnership, $800/missionary will go directly to the orphanage for their operational needs, $200/missionary will cover the expense of having us there for six days and an estimated $940/missionary will help assist us in travel expenses. If God is calling you to enter into this mission with us, we ask you to contact Kristen via email or phone at 573-335-3899. You may send any partnering gifts to:
